Own this exceptional, hand-printed, intaglio printer’s proof signed by Tony Levin.  It is of drummer Bill Bruford rehearsing before a show at The Granary, in Bristol, UK in 1981.

It is printed on traditional Japanese gampi paper, which is famously very thin, but strong paper used in printing many of Edward S. Curtis’ editions. Torn deckled edges adorn this vintage photograph and genuine, handmade intaglio print.

Due to the unique nature of these one-of-a-kind printer’s proofs we are offering for a limited time, all sales are final.

Description

Own this hand-printed, photogravure printer’s proof set signed, and dated 2021 by Tony Levin. This paper differs from the paper used in the published intaglio edition. Kita Kata Natural, is a warm-colored, 2-ply, handmade gampi paper produced in Japan.

This print was created from original, 35mm film photograph by Tony Levin. 

Our photogravure prints from steel-backed polymer plate are hand-printed in Colorado, USA on a traditional intaglio press. This handmade work on paper has superior longevity, because it was made using low or acid-free ink and paper formulas that have been used in Europe for hundreds of years.
