This is a small, original watercolor painting by Bill Janssen, of Denver Colorado.
They are from a series of umbrellas that were inspired by the dearth of rain in the desert southwest. They were painted in hopes that a colorful instrument of protection from the rain will inspire us to take more care of our precious resource, water.
Bill is the man Adrian Belew called “…the greatest saxophone player in the world…”! Bill has been a painter longer than he has been a musician, and enjoys working on his art when not enjoying time with his family, and helping with the garden.
