You provide the image and we provide your plate! We offer the best service and pricing on custom plates for photogravure available, and have for over 20 years! Add multiple images to a large plate and SAVE (cutting fees apply). Our plates are generally good for 50-100 prints when treated with care, according to our instructions. To allow for more affordable proofing, additional proofing plates of the same image, with or without variations to the file, may be purchased at a 50% discount!
We recommend submitting 8 or 16 bit image files at 100% of the physical size you want the plate to be, with 360 ppi native resolution. We use Printtight KM83, steel-backed, nylon polymer plates by Toyobo Corp. in Japan. Please allow 7-10 business days for completion.
Price for service includes a 12% materials fee covering the cost of the plate and film transparency.
