This iconic, 4-bridge sunrise overlooking the Monongahela River. In the Unami Native American dialect of the Algonquin language, the word Monongahela means “falling banks”. This photo of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was taken in 2016. Blues, greys, violets, silvers, amber and orange tones in this original color photograph by Paul Richards, taken around the time of sunrise.
